Steam error messages

The following error messages all relate to the use of the Steam platform.


  • 1 files failed to validate and will be reacquired
  • ATI and Nvidia Hardware Promotion Issues
  • Cannot open blob archive file: CMultiFieldBlob(mem-mapped file): Failed to open file
  • Could not load module bin/vgui2.dll
  • Debug Assertion Failed Program: steam.exe
  • Disk Read or Write Error
  • Error when accessing Steam on a new machine
  • Failed to start game (app already running)
  • Failed to Start Game (Missing Executable)
  • Fatal Error: Failed to load platform modules
  • Fatal Error: Steam needs to be online to update
  • Game failed to start (Error code 51)
  • Game failed to start (Error Code 83)
  • Game is not available on your current platform
  • Incomplete Installation (#) Errors
  • Not Enough Free Disk Space
  • Page Fault Found In A Non Paged Area
  • Platform Error: bad module Friends/friendsUI.dll, not loading
  • Platform Error: Module Failed to Initialize
  • Precondition Assertion Failed
  • Steam is already running
  • Steam is no longer supported on this computer's operating system
  • Steam is not a registered protocol
  • Steam repeatedly updates or verifies game files
  • Steam.exe (main exception): CMultiFieldBlob(pSerialized)
  • Steam.exe (main exception): To run Steam, you must first connect to the internet
  • Steam.exe is not a valid Win32 Application
  • SteamStartup(0xf,0x12fc74) failed with error 108: The local steam service is not running
  • The MSS DLL Is Incorrectly Installed in the Windows System Directory
  • The registry is in use by another process, timeout expired
  • The Steam servers are too busy to handle your request. Error Code (53)
  • There was an error accessing YouTube to retrieve your username. Please try again.
  • This game is currently unavailable
  • Unable to find Steam.dll entry point InternalSteamStartEngine
  • Unable to load Authentication Library
  • Unable to load filesystem_steam.dll
